What goes wrong when solar is installed below standard

A rooftop system carries grid-level voltage and sits on your home for 20 years. Cut corners on wiring, grounding, or mounting and the failures show up later, when they are expensive and dangerous to fix.

Fire from DC arc faults

Loose connectors, undersized cable, and unprotected DC runs create high-energy arcs that can ignite the roof. Faults often stay hidden until heat or smoke appears.

Electric shock and bad grounding

Missing earth bonding and skipped isolation leave live metal exposed. A single wet-season fault can energise the frame, the rail, or the roof itself.
